SYSTEM EFFICIENCY is achieved by investing in quality brands and the right size of equipment. Compressed Air is an expensive utility to produce. Running costs are lower when systems are more efficient – such as using Cycling Air Dryers that automatically turn on and off in response to system demand. More efficient systems are costly up front, but over time save on energy costs, experience less air leaks, and have a longer life.

EQUIPMENT TYPE and SIZE you select will impact your equipment’s life expectancy and your electricity bill. Make sure to match the right compressor type and size to your application. A compressor that is under-sized will over-work to keep up, and cause pressure fluctuations and compatibility issues. On the flip side – an over sized compressor will cause your electric bill to sky rocket while it creates more air than you need.

Rotary Compressors typically perform up to 30 years at 8 hours per day, while Reciprocating Compressors last 10 to 15 years, and even longer with proper maintenance. A reciprocating compressor is cost-effective, but best for intermittent uses of air. Rotary Screw compressors are best for continuous duty.

Make your investment work for you. Savings of around $1,500 on initial cost is a benefit up front, but when considering the equipment life of 15 years – it adds up to $100/year. Smaller or lower quality compressors may have a smaller price tag, but they still come at a price. They are more affordable because they use cost effective mechanical parts that spin at higher RPM’s to keep up with bigger compressors. Ultimately, they will require maintenance or replacement much sooner.

Remember: The Correct Size & Type of equipment will perform and will last.
